Natalie and Evan Are Getting Married

Frequently Asked Questions

We are very grateful to Natalie's grandparents (June and Charlie) for allowing us to host our reception in their garden. It is a beautiful location with views across Mount's Bay and to St.Michael's Mount. It will be held in a marquee on the lawn, so for your footwear be warned it won't be a fully solid ground. We are hoping for a perfectly warm September day!

Guest numbers are limited due to the capacity of our marquee, therefore we are limiting the number of children that attend the wedding. However we know that some people might not have access to childcare, so if this is this case please let us know and we will do our best to accomodate you all :)

We kindly ask that you return your RSVP form to us by 1st May 2021.

In a word, no. Your presence is the only gift we desire!

While this weekend is at the tail end of the school holidays, it also happens to fall on the weekend when the Tour of Britain cycle race comes to Penzance. Therefore the town is going to be much busier than expected and accommodation is already getting booked up, so we recommend that you book somewhere to stay as soon as possible (remember to check their covid-19 cancellation policy!)

Not for drinks - there will be a free bar provided. But there is no Uber in PZ, so bring cash for your taxi!

There will be canapés on arrival, followed by a hog roast / vegetarian BBQ, scones and cheese. In the evening there will also be a variety of local pasties delivered. The wedding breakfast will be served from around 4pm, so we suggest that you have a light lunch before you arrive. Please let us know of any dietary requirement or allergies on your RSVP.

There is no dresscode, please wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We are in Cornwall so even shorts and flip flops are not out of the question! Hopefully the weather will be kind, but you may wish to bring something for warmth when we are outside and for the evening... just in case. Be careful if you choose to wear stiletto heels. And be sure to bring your dancing shoes!

As the reception is being held in our family's garden, we ask all guests to leave by midnight and to pre-book taxis to collect you no later than this time (see travel page for taxi firms).

We will of course be keeping a close eye on the global pandemic. However, the recent announcements have given us hope that we will be free to enjoy our day as we plan. Be sure to be clear on the cancellation policy for any bookings you make in case the worst happens.

If you plan to stay a few extra days in Cornwall there is lots to see and do! Take your pick from a coastline packed with beaches and lots of tourist spots to explore. Here are a few of our favourite things to do in and about Penzance:
Beaches: Sennen Cove, Porthcurno, Perranuthnoe, Gwithian
Restaurants: The Old Coastguard, Mermaid Alley
Places to visit: St.Michael's Mount, St.Ives, Mousehole, Jubilee Pool, Minack Theatre (+museum), Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens
